Games developers think microdosing acid makes them intellectual titans and yet they continually ruin their own products despite mere peons being able to see the problems ahead.
Valve in all reality hates CS2, much like a band hating one of its earliest "singles" since they've evolved so much as a band after the bouts of Chlamydia and band break-ups. Yet the fans demand to hear it.
The reason CS2 was released was an administrative one. Source 1 was windows XP era tech and Source 2 is windows 7 tech, so they had to release it by a "date" otherwise yadda yadda something something into perpetuity.
And so here we are, all playing a version that is likely a copy/pasta'd version of 2020 CSGO in a newer engine where cheat devs are pleasantly surprised at the ease in which their builds transferred over from CSGO.
All I can say is, you and I both know that it's not rage cheaters that truly destroy the game but the closet cheating. The anti-cheat for this release was an afterthought and from what I'm seeing, it looks they're starting from scratch.
"All of them including CZ" - didn't you start with source? Feels like you're a bit out of depth considering you don't have much experience with 1.3, 1.5 etc.I feel like if you did you'd be in a better position to judge CS2 rather than someone who really got their start with source. It's also pretty evident you didn't really engage with Danger Zone as no matter what time you attempted to play it you could pretty much always get a game going. Would appreciate if you put more effort into research as you're pretty out of touch with that. Plus, you fail to make any mention on the lack of community server support and as that was a pillar of every iteration of CS version (particularly pre-1.6) it also tells me you have a lack of knowledge of CS prior to Source, maybe some more effort is needed to provide better context when comparing CS2 to prior versions. Thanks.
While it's cool you just imagined I never played any version of CS before Source I in fact had. I didn't write about an esports scene until 2005 though at which point the scene I had the most connections to was also Source.
Just wanted to add, you act like it's "delusions" regarding regarding false bans.
That is a totally new precedent for Valve. They had never a situation where they applied bans only to unroll them to thousands of players.
Clearly, they're fucked when it comes to the accuracy of whatever anti-cheat method they're using.
They destroyed a reputation that had decades worth of "your ban means you cheated" PR in the course of two months. Now every cheater here on out is going to say "my ban was false" and people are going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
This subtitle is absolutely brilliant.
As one of the twelve Danger Zone fans, you're damn right I want to know if its coming back!
I don't know how anyone enjoyed that mode with the ability to have your match ruined by one of those selfish types that we won't name.
I think here's what happened.

Tried to post this on the CS subreddit, it was removed as per rule 8: Advertising. I think they don't like you there, Richard.

Great post besides those facts though.

If we have one ghost awp shot in the Grand Finals at the Major, CS2 launch will be a complete failure :(
