what're you talking about man, it has been "too far" for years of the same 8 teams playing for meaningless events. Valve is stepping in because they completely understand the situation and it's need for dire change. it sounds like you enjoy this regurgitation of "tier 1 cs" and you need to wake up.

Hope this'll light a fire under teams that have gotten too complacent. Also hopefully something will be done to lighten up the oversaturated schedule.

Maybe ESL can take some of the blood money and use it to give the buy-ins back. Then they can work on establishing a circuit that’s actually profitable with pay per view events and gate revenues.

ESL was still relatively good compared to Blast, Blast is nearly fully closed down as mentioned in the article. While both need change, improvements, Blast need way more improvements than ESL does. I’m glad this will be changed, Blast clearly overstepped

Partnered leagues has resulted in some of the "elite" teams playing in a handful of tournaments throughout a calendar year. If this has any impact on that I am all for it.

It's tough that the circuit, fans, players, small orgs need the hand of Valve to be able to participate in a healthier ecosystem. It is nothing else than luck that Valve is unlike Riot Games regarding this, which is truly worrisome to have your livelihood in the hands of luck...
