It’s Probably Time To Accept That The Biggest Political Scandal In Your Lifetime Had Nothing To Do With Trump
Yeah, the party of selection and not election have surrendered the moral high ground with their "protect the Constitution" shtick.
Are you enjoying this current news cycle? It’s an interesting one, different to the usual slew of propaganda in the sense that its main topic – “Joe Biden is a sick, elderly man who wasn’t fit for office” – is seemingly only news to the media pushing it. After years of embarrassing public appearances, replete with falls, nonsensical claims and a total inability to complete a coherent sentence, it now turns out we were right all along. A large part of this exercise in journalistic theater is to try and downplay the implications of that fact. It can no longer be denied that the Democratic Party once again rigged a primary selection process to have the party fall in line behind a candidate that was infirm. Once the referendum on a Trump first term marred by a shitty response to a global pandemic and a tanking economy pushed Biden into The White House, the country was then run by an unelected Politburo.. While this distinctly Soviet operation was underway they constantly told you they were the party of democracy. After all the shrieking about Trump shredding the Constitution, it was the supposed good guys that chose to violate the fundamental oaths it contains.
This is what happens when you buy into the fiction that Trump is a fascist in waiting – and yes, we’re still waiting – that must be stopped at all costs. He’ll subvert The Supreme Court, the same court that consistently rules against him, and he’ll install himself as a monarch for the few years left of his own life. This is what the grifters on the political left have been screeching about for a decade now. So, one must ask, how do they feel about these latest developments? Can they explain how having a cabal of unelected appointees govern the country via autopen is in service of democracy? Was it better to have a Pope than a King?
There are many questions to be asked but let’s start with this… How could tenured journalists with extensive experience covering political campaigns not see what every other single American could? For instance, back in 2019 I was able to almost accurately predict how the Biden presidency would end. Sure, there was a key difference in that in my version he shit himself on stage in a moment Democratic strategists would refer to as the “Biden Brownout” but in many ways that would have been more dignified. I then wrote in 2023 that Biden’s brain did not have four more years, prompting the usual gnashing and wailing about Trump and how Biden, a lifelong political opportunist, was actually a decent man. Of course, I was right and ahead of the curve by approximately five years making me one of the most astute political commentators on the internet. Maybe I should get a book deal… What do you think, Jake?
The basic timeline goes something like this… A clearly infirm Biden behaved with the usual bungling arrogance that has typified his entire political career. In not wanting the family gravy train to come to a halt he refused to hand over the reins to another candidate. In that moment the party and their allies in the media had to try and convince the world Biden was fine and had four more years in him. Then he tried to debate Donald Trump and between coughing fits repeatedly forgot what he was trying to say part way through garbled sentences. A combination of a Pelosi whip and a Barack Obama ghostwritten op-ed forced Biden to stand down but because of the rod they had made for their own back with the appointment of Kamala Harris, it was impossible for them to step over the black woman for another candidate. What followed was a 100 day campaign so badly orchestrated it can only be compared to Hillary’s in 2016 in terms of its failure. Then, having handed Trump the keys back to The White House, all those overtures to Biden’s greatness were torn up and instead the truth was told. He wasn’t a George Washington figure. He was actually a confused old man who couldn’t do the job and that the excruciating public appearances weren’t anywhere near the worst of it.
Then, just as we were getting comfortable with the fact that a political party in America subverted the will of voters to get a drooling vegetable into the White House, we were then told said vegetable also had what is likely terminal cancer. Not just any old cancer mind you, one that takes years to kill you meaning he probably had the disease and the treatment all through his term in office. Still did you hear what Trump might do this week? Let’s not dwell on the whole dementia-president thing because he’s sick now and likely to die soon. Thoughts and prayers. Please buy our books.
It was never the contents of Biden’s ass that bothered me. To be clear on that part, the type of cancer that Biden has is one that moves at a glacial pace. Prostate cancer is eminently treatable with a very high survival rate. It would also be near impossible to miss in the most medically monitored person on the planet, which makes the fact that Biden hadn’t had a PSA test, a measurement of prostate specific antigens, since 2014 all the more conspicuous by its absence. Given the Biden family history of cancer diagnoses it makes little sense to not do that test unless there was a reason not to do so. For it to be this advanced, to the point where it has metastasized into his bones, it being “suddenly” detected after he left office is a ludicrous fantasy.
Don’t take my word for it. As Dr. Steven Quay said in The Spectator:
“The highest probability is that the diagnosis has been known for many years, but a calculated decision was made to not announce it, not treat it, and hope after the re-election the treatment could be done when it was still a local disease. An unfortunate turn of events.”
While I don’t agree with the assessment that Biden likely avoided treatment (the most likely outcome is that it was done at his Delaware home and without record) there’s no-one in the scientific community that has put forward a “magic tumour” theory. The same goes now with his cognitive impairment. It went from being conspiracy theories and cheapfakes to “the President’s inability to talk is getting so bad we’re hiring Steven Spielberg to use directing techniques to hide it.” We essentially had President 2Pac Hologram.
Now that we can acknowledge the reality of how ill Biden was, this is the only lens through which his entire presidency should be viewed. All the many mistakes should be thoroughly scrutinized. The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that cost thirteen servicemembers their lives and culminated in a drone strike that murdered seven children. The bungled handling of the Chinese spy balloon. The unprecedented mishandling of the border, which resulted in more “kids in cages” than the Trump years. What about the $10.5 billion combined in taxpayer money used on failed green programs that delivered only 93 electric postal truck vehicles and a paltry 200 charging stations? The Russian invasion of Ukraine and subsequent four year slow roll out of weapons to an ally nation that just so happened to be the one with financial ties to the president’s son?
Under normal circumstances these could be handwaved away as just bad policies, failed initiatives and petty corruption, the type of thing that happens during any administration. When you know that the President was bouncing off the fucking walls with a combination of dementia, chemotherapy and a fistful of medication with a laundry list of side effects, it becomes a scandal. And not just any Monday to Friday political scandal either. It’s the single biggest scandal you’ll experience in your lifetime and nothing Trump has done or will do is going to come close.
If you doubt the validity of that statement, simply consider the scale of the cover-up. It has the type of sprawl true conspiracy theorists dream of. It is the Charlie pinboard conspiracy meme but real. His family knew, his closest aides and allies knew, likely many in the administration knew and if they didn’t know they certainly suspected. Multiple journalists and news anchors must have known. Jake Tapper’s book claims to have interviewed two-hundred people who all seem to have anecdotes about how impaired the president was. Yet you’re supposed to believe none of it could be “discovered” and published prior to the 2024 presidential election? They are taking you for fools.
The damage this has done to the Democratic Party can’t be understated. It is the moral high ground surrendered for decades. It is a hand over the mouth to the many valid criticisms of Trump for the remainder of his second and presumably final term. The media thinks this is a minor concern, that it will go away and they can turn their attention to lesser matters such as finding a “Joe Rogan of the left” or “abundance progressivism” messaging. They don’t seem to understand that the legacy of the Biden years is going to be. You see when all is said and done Trump isn’t America’s Hitler. Instead Biden was America’s Brezhnev.
The most insane part of this for me isn't the coverup of his failing health, but rather that America was governed by a shadow council with zero oversight. Who was making the big decisions if Biden couldn't? Why don't we know their names? I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to guess who the de facto leaders were, but the fact it isn't public knowledge is very concerning.
The Brezhnev point has turned out to be more accurate than I ever thought it was. I didn't think Biden was functional or doing much, but omg he really was just pushed around by the people around him a majority of the time
